Funding is available to UK and some EU students through a new programme that has launched today – The UK Oil and Gas Collaborative Doctoral Training Centre, co-funded by NERC, a consortium of universities, research institutes and industry.. There are 31 awards from xx available projects. To see the list go to: http://www.pet.hw.ac.uk/research/nerc-cdt-oil-gas-studentships.htm The partnership includes the Universities of Aberdeen, Birmingham, Cardiff, Dundee, Durham, Exeter (Camborne), Glasgow, Heriot-Watt, Imperial College, Keele, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham, Oxford, Royal Holloway, Southampton/NOCS, Strathclyde. The partnership is led by Heriot-Watt University under the stewardship of John Underhill. Applications and enquiries should go to the various host institutions. These are fully-funded 4-year studentships. All recipients of these awards will join a national training academy that not only provides training in the broad integrative skills that underpin careers in the Oil and Gas sector but also will develop essential peer-networks.
