Dear All,
I have supplied a number of sets of the draft standards to people who have asked for them.
ISO 18400-101 provides a “framework for the preparation and application of a sampling plan”.
BS10175 mentions preparation of a sampling plan only briefly so it is possible that this proposed standard might be a useful adjunct to BS 10175 and BS 8576.
Planning Conditions often require prior agreement of an investigation strategy and of course, clients usually want a scope of works, albeit at variable levels of detail. Possibly the proposed standard, could form the basis for such submissions. Annex A provides a check list of the information to be included in the sampling plan.
Thus, it would be helpful to have comments on the draft standard from this point of view, e.g. as written at present, or if amended, could it provide a means of checking whether those proposing an investigation have understood the brief and the requirements of BS 10175 and/or BS 8576.
