Creative Connections Project Assistant Intern
Fixed-term for 6 months, 8 hours (1 day) per week
£6.31 per hour

Creative Connections is a four-year project (2012-2016) connecting young people (aged 14-16 years) in London with artists to create new responses to the National Portrait Gallery's Collection. The young people are from London audiences currently under-represented at the Gallery and the collection artworks are portraits of inspiring figures connected to the young people's local area. Each year Creative Connections will take place in a different London area and result in a display at the Gallery accompanied by digital dimensions. The Project Intern will assist the project team and have discreet areas of responsibility in the following areas: research into the Collection and identification of connections to place; production of digital content and digital participation activities; facilitation and documentation of participation activities; exhibition production; and the project evaluation. We are seeking to appoint an individual for whom this opportunity would provide an important starting point in building and developing skills and expertise in engagement and participation practice in the cultural sector.

As with all paid internship positions we encourage applications from recent graduates including those in receipt of Maintenance/Special Support Grant/Hardship Fund.

Please bear this in mind when applying and also please indicate on your form if you will be unavailable on this date.
