Europe in a Changing World”
Yekaterinburg, April 25-27, 2014

held  as a part of the second Annual Convention of the Institute of Social and Political Sciences.

The conference is devoted to transformation of the European civilization in different periods of its
existence.

Conference topics:
-Modern Europe in the context of European integration process
-Europe in the XX-at the beginning of the XXI centuries: policy and society
-European economy: processes of development and trends
-Europe in a system of international relations in the XX-at the beginning of the XXI centuries
-Euro-Atlantic civilization in the world’s history
-Europe in the XX-at the beginning of the XXI centuries: ecology and culture
The conference will be held in a form of plenary meeting and workshops aſterwards.

Application requirements:
Please, register on-line at http://ispn.urfu.ru/konvent/konvent-2014/ (the registration will be
open from December 25, 2013 to March 17, 2014). Please, note that you will be required to upload
an abstract / article (in English or Russian). The submissions should include the speaker’s name,
place of work and position, as well as the contact address, phone number, e-mail and the title of
the proposed paper. Those selected to give presentations at the conference will be contacted by
March 25, 2014.

It is supposed to publish the conference’s materials in electronic version, so please be aware of
the requirements:
For execution of documents: use of MS Word, Times New Roman type, size of print – 14, single
spacing between lines, 2 cm of margins, automatic syllabification, indention – 1,25.
Initials and surname are to be stated at the beginning of the text with adjustment by the right margin.
A place of work (or study) is specified under the surname.
Then the name of scientific conference abstracts is indicated without indention, in capital letters in
semi-bold type (adjustment is by the centre).
Aſter that the main text follows with adjustment by width with indention. References should be
stated in the text in square brackets [1. P. 23]. Right aſter the text list of references and should be
written in alphabetical order.

Scientific conference abstracts should be submitted via registration form (preferred) or by e-mail
mentioned below (a letter should be named as “Author’s surname Conference abstracts”).
The best presentations chosen by the Organization Committee will be also published in the Journal
“Izvestia of Ural Federal University. Series 3 - Social and Political Sciences” (Ekaterinburg, Russia)
