Disability Studies in Education Conference 2014 The Disability Studies in Education (DSE) annual conference will be hosted in July 2014, by The Victoria Institute, Victoria University, Melbourne. Sponsored by the American Educational Research Association (AERA), this will be the first time in it's 14-year history that the conference will be held in Australia. The conference is renowned for attracting academics and thinkers from all over the world to discuss the latest thinking on key issues in disability studies. DSE 14 aims to engage the full education spectrum, from early years to year 12, through to higher education and beyond. This conference serves as a platform to shape future practice and thinking around key issues to do with Disability Studies in Education. Conference details The conference will take place at our City Queen Campus, from 25 to 27 July 2014. Abstract submissions Abstract and paper submissions for DSE14 are now open. We encourage the submission of papers across a broad range of topics addressing issues in disability studies in education. Two edited books and a special journal issue will be published from papers presented at the conference. Please note that abstract submissions will close on 28 February 2014.
