On behalf of the editorial board of the Journal of Design History, I am delighted to announce the publication of our first Virtual Special Issue, an online initiative which pairs a comprehensive and current historiography with key essays selected from the Journal's archive of thousands of articles. The introduction will remain free to access indefinitely; the articles will be free to access throughout this calendar year.

This year's VSI is entitled 'Reframing Australian Design History', and it has been edited by Dr DJ Huppatz, Swinburne University of Technology, Australia. Access the brand new introduction and the selected articles at: http://oxfordjournals.org/our_journals/design/resource/reframing_australian_design_history.html
