1) “Data Protection Remedies - Show Me the Money “
Anya Proops, from 11KBW, will be talking about the strengths and weaknesses of the existing regime for claiming private monetary remedies for breaches of the Data Protection Act 1998, following the Court of Appeal's decision in Halliday v Creation Consumer Finance, and issues surrounding the civil monetary penalty regime.

2) Copyright – what do FOI officers need to know?
Adele Rattenbury, from Kings College School of Law

3) (To be confirmed) – a face to face Consultation with the Nuffield Bio Ethics Foundation on Big Data in Medicine. All being well, they will be coming to consult with us. See their website: The “collection, linking, use and exploitation of biological and health data: ethical issues” If you wish to respond personally in writing, they are happy to take late responses for the rest of the month.
