Hi Katrina, It was librarian led but very much with the user in mind, i.e. the labels which would mean most to the user. At this moment in time we have only made proposals to our colleagues in Access who are part of the OPAC Group. In the main they are pretty obvious, e.g. "main title" for 245 field, "publication details" for 264 (and 260 in AACR2 records), others sparked more debate such as the 700 field (we are recommending "related name"). Best wishes, Neil From: Clifford, Katrina M [mailto:[log in to unmask]] Sent: 14 January 2014 15:07 To: Nicholson, Neil; [log in to unmask] Subject: RE: Workflows Thanks Neil. I'm wondering if you could expand upon the new labels you're considering for your OPAC and what prompted the thinking - was it librarian or user led? We have also reconsidered how our records display in the OPAC and are currently contemplating new labels for some fields in the OPAC. Overall I think the implementation of RDA has helped us look at our cataloguing and processing routines with a fresh eye. Has anyone used RDA as a chance to do things differently (whether on a large or small scale?). Katrina This email has been scanned for all viruses by the MessageLabs Email Security System.
