As these are
urgent requirements we are looking for people who can start on 20th
January 2014. This is a short term contractor opportunity with the view of
converting to fixed term positions after 4 weeks. We are looking for people who
are available immediately and work on a fixed term basis after 4 weeks.
These 3
technical clerks will be part of a small dedicated team tasked with
cataloguing, indexing and archiving an extensive library of mining and
railway records including plans, correspondence and other related documents.
You will be responsible for document control and quality assurance for your
area of work to ensure reliable future traceability of the electronic records.
Accurate recording of metadata and file descriptions form a key part of this
work.
This post would
ideally suit a candidate with an interest in archives and records management
with a view to furthering a career in this area.
CCMS2 and Eb
are document management systems used by Network Rail and training in these
packages will be given to the successful applicants. If you have experience
using document management systems please do get in touch.
