Fforwm Treftadaeth Ieuenctid Cymru a Diwrnod Rhyngwladol Gwirfoddoli 2013 – Datganiad i’r Wasg Mae’r grwp newydd sbon Fforwm Treftadaeth Ieuenctid Cymru yn estyn gwahoddiad i bobl ifanc ar draws Cymru i ymuno a chymryd rhan mewn grwp Facebook newydd fel rhan o o Ddiwrnod Gwirfoddoli Rhyngwladol y Cenhedloedd Unedig ar Ragfyr 5ed 2013. Mae’r Fforwm yn agored i bawb rhwng 14- 25 oed, sydd a chysylltiad neu a diddordeb mewn treftadaeth, yn amgueddfeydd, archeoleg neu hanes lleol. Bydd yn anelu i lenwi’r diffyg ymwneud gan bobl ifanc yn y maes treftadaeth, gan fod y lle i bobl ifanc fynd, i gael cysylltu gyda’r sector dreftadaeth Gymreig. Mae Diwrnod Rhynglwadol Gwirfoddoli 2013 yn gyfle i ddathlu gwaith gwirfoddolwyr ar draws y byd a’u cyfraniad enfawr i bob maes o fewn y gymdeithas. Dydy’r sector drefadaeth ddim yn eithriad ac mae gwirfoddolwyr yn chwarae rhan allweddol o fewn y sector. Felly mae’r Fforwm yn gyfle gwych i gael mwy o wirfoddolwyr i gymryd rhan ac yn rhoi cyfle i bobl ifanc gael ymwneud mewn ffordd sy’n apelio a chael rhoi eu barn ar faterion o bwys. Mae yna gyfle i rai sydd a diddordeb i ymuno gyda’r fenter newydd gyffroes hon trwy ddod yn aelod o’r pwyllgor cychwynol. Bydd cyfle i siapio dyfodol y fenter ac yn llywio sut y bydd pobl ifanc y dyfodol yn ymwneud gyda’u treftadaeth. Mae hwn yn gyfle rhagorol i bobl ifanc helpu i lunio llwybr newydd cyffroes ar gyfer y genhedlaeth nesaf o wirfoddolwyr a gweithwyr proffesiynnol yn y maes. Open to all those connected to or interested in heritage, from museums to archaeology or local history, aged from 14-25 the Welsh Youth Heritage Forum is designed to combat the growing age gap in involvement in heritage and become the go-to organisation for young people interested in becoming involved in Welsh Heritage Sector. The UN’s International Volunteering Day 2013 is designed to celebrate volunteers around the world and their huge contributions to all aspects of society. Heritage is no exception and volunteers play vital roles in the sector. Therefore the Forum aims to encourage greater and more sustainable volunteering in the heritage sector as well as helping young people to find fantastic opportunities and help them have their say on important issues. There are also exciting opportunities to be a part of the committee of this dynamic new project and help define the future of young people’s involvement in heritage in Wales and encourage and guide a new generation of volunteers and professionals.
