A fantastic and exciting opportunity has arisen for an Evidence-Based Information Specialist (Outreach) to join the Library and Knowledge Services Team at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust. This is a permanent post at Band 5, 30 hours a week. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual who will provide and promote evidence-based research and information services to healthcare staff at the Trust. Activities as part of the service include ward rounds, journals clubs, attending grand rounds, and delivering training sessions to groups or individuals. You will also be working in collaboration with the Pharmacy service to establish a new unique evidence-based answering and research service. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work well both in a team and on own initiative. You need to have excellent literature searching skills and a high level of partnership working skills. We are looking for someone who is innovative, outgoing and creative. Working alongside clinical and non-clinical teams, the successful candidate will contribute to clinical decision-making, evidence based practice, research, learning and development and clinical governance. You will need to hold a relevant degree or equivalent, and have knowledge of local and regional NHS structures.
