Hi David,You will find the majority of these modules mainly in Psychology departments. The most famous and oldest MSc programme in the UK is the Master in Applied Positive Psychology offered by UEL: http://www.uel.ac.uk/postgraduate/specs/positivepsychology/. Since their first cohort in 2007 (?) at least one other university has introduced a similar master programme: http://bucks.ac.uk/courses/course//MH2PPS2.As for Sociology, I know my colleague Laura Hyman teaches a second year course entitled "Emotions and Social Life" at Portsmouth.I'm afraid that's about all I know. I regularly google "sociology and/of happiness" and I get the same hits most of the time. I only know of the existence one course "Sociology of Happiness" (2008/2009) at Boston College (US).Good luck with your search,AlexandraOn Wed, Dec 4, 2013 at 2:38 PM, David Tross <[log in to unmask]> wrote:

I've found some bits and bobs but I would much appreciate any info you can give me.P.S It was great to meet you all at the London event and thanks everyone for sensing their slides round.David--David TrossAssociate lecturerCommunity StudiesDepartment of Geography, Environment and Development StudiesBirkbeck College, University of London
