** 1000 Functional Connectomes Project (FCP) / International Neuroimaging Data-sharing Initiative (INDI) Data Release Announcement **

RELEASE NAME: Enhanced NKI-RS ‘Lite’ Release & 'Full Phenotypic' Release 4.0
PROVIDER: Enhanced Nathan Kline Institute - Rockland Sample (NKI-RS)
DATA TYPE: Resting State fMRI (TR = 645, 1400, 2500), Diffusion Tensor Imaging (137 directions/2mm isotropic)

ANNOUNCEMENT: We are pleased to announce the 4th 'Lite' release (n = 88) from the Enhanced NKI-RS, which contains imaging data and limited phenotyping (age, sex, handedness) (total n released = 329). The Enhanced NKI-RS is a large scale NIMH-funded imaging effort dedicated to the acquisition and open distribution of functional and structural imaging data for 1000 community-ascertained individuals between the ages of 6.0 and 85.0 years old, over a 4-year period. Comprehensive psychiatric, cognitive and behavioral phenotyping are obtained from participants to ensure maximal value in efforts to reveal brain-behavior relationships. Basic laboratory measures are collected as well.

The following scans were attempted for each participant:
- multiband resting state functional MRI (TR = 645/3mm isotropic; 10 min)
- multiband resting state functional MRI (TR = 1400/2mm isotropic; 10 min)
- standard resting state functional MRI (TR = 2500/3mm isotropic; 5 min)
- multiband diffusion tensor imaging (137 directions/2mm isotropic; <7 min).

Additionally, we attempted to obtain the following scans: 1) breath-holding and 2) visual checkerboard stimulation (blocked design).

To learn how to access comprehensive phenotyping, be sure to check out the Full Phenotypic Release (http://fcon_1000.projects.nitrc.org/indi/enhanced/sharing.html).

NOTES:
1) A 24-subject test-retest pilot multiband dataset for this protocol is available: http://fcon_1000.projects.nitrc.org/indi/pro/eNKI_RS_TRT/FrontPage.html

2) A publication describing the NKI-RS effort (Nooner et al., 2012) can be found at: http://www.frontiersin.org/Brain_Imaging_Methods/10.3389/fnins.2012.00152/abstract

3) In order to protect participant privacy, access to the corresponding high dimensional phenotypic data (http://fcon_1000.projects.nitrc.org/indi/enhanced/assessments.html) does require a data usage agreement (see Data Usage Agreement section of website for details; http://fcon_1000.projects.nitrc.org/indi/enhanced/sharing.html).
