This is a first call for papers for the 2nd  International Conference on Cloud Security Management – ICCSM 2014 being Hosted by Defence Academy of the United Kingdom, Cranfield University, Shrivenham, UK on the 23-24 October 2014.

This call will close on 3rd of April 2014.

ICCSM provides an opportunity for academics, practitioners and consultants from around the world who are involved in the study, management, development and implementation of systems and concepts to enhance cloud computing security management to come together and exchange ideas. There are several strong strands of research and interest that are developing in the area including the understanding of threats and risks to cloud based information systems, the development of a strong security culture, as well as incident detection and post incident investigation. This inaugural conference is a key event for individuals working in the field from around the world.

Publication opportunities

Papers accepted for the conference will be published in the conference proceedings, subject to author registration and payment. Papers that have been presented at the conference will be considered for publication in a special issue of the International Journal of Cloud Computing published by Inderscience (ISSN online 2043-9997 ISSN print 2043-9989). Papers will also be considered for publication in the International Journal of Electronic Security and Digital Forensics published by Inderscience (ISSN online 1751-9128 ISSN print 1751-911X).

The advisory group for the conference invites submissions of both academic and practitioner papers on a wide range of topics and a wide range of scholarly approaches including theoretical and empirical papers employing qualitative, quantitative and critical methods. Academic research papers, case studies and work-in-progress/posters are welcomed approaches. PhD Research, proposals for roundtable discussions, non-academic contributions and product demonstrations based on the main themes are also invited.

In addition to the main conference topics, the advisory group invites submissions to the following mini track:

Data, Records and Archives in the Cloud chaired by Dr Luciana Duranti, School of Library, Archival and Information Studies, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada

 The ICCSM conference proceedings will have an ISBN and will be submitted on publication to a number of citation and indexing bodies, including:
