Early announcement: Meetings on Mathematical Methods in Reliability The Joint Research Group on Mathematical Methods in Reliability, partly funded by the London Mathematical Society, will again organise four meetings in 2014. The dates of the first three meetings are now fixed: Fri 2 May: `Modelling and Analysis of Complext Systems' at Salford University (this meeting will comprise four hour-long tutorial sessions). Mon 19 May: `Asset Management' at Durham University. Fri 30 May: `Probability Distributions and Statistical Models for Reliability and Survival Analysis' at Brunel University. Further details about the first meeting are already available from the webpage http://maths.dur.ac.uk/stats/people/fc/LMS-Reliability.html Further details about the other meetings, together with information about the fourth meeting (at Strathclyde University), will follow. If you wish to participate at one or more of the meetings then please contact us (see webpage) as soon as possible, particularly if you would like to present some of your work or ideas. PhD students are very welcome, in fact the first meeting is quite explicitly aimed at PhD students and other career-young researchers. Best wishes Frank Coolen (Durham) David Percy (Salford) John Quigley (Strathclyde) Keming Yu (Brunel) You may leave the list at any time by sending the command SIGNOFF allstat to [log in to unmask], leaving the subject line blank.
