Meeting Title: Defining clinical research priorities

Meeting organised by: RSS Medical Statistics section

 

Meeting details: Medical statisticians are familiar with technical and practical issues affecting the design, conduct, analysis and reporting of clinical research studies. They also have opportunities to influence the prioritisation of clinical research topics and interpretation of study results to inform policy and practice. This meeting brings together four speakers with expertise in identifying research priorities through systematic reviews, value of information, and involving patients to ensure a focus on patient-important outcomes.

·         Nicky Welton (University of Bristol)

·         Karen Facey (Statistical Consultant based in Scotland)

·         John Brazier (University of Sheffield)
