DPhil opportunity at the Health Economics Research Centre, Nuffield Department of Population Health, University of Oxford

The Health Economics Research Centre at the University of Oxford is developing rigorous and innovative research on economic aspects of health and disease, the costs and benefits of prevention and treatment, and the design and evaluation of health systems, which contributes to the improvement of health and healthcare in the UK and internationally.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for suitably qualified candidates to apply for a DPhil Studentship to study the long-term benefits and economics of treatment strategies for stroke prevention in people at increased stroke risk due to carotid stenosis. This DPhil project will be developed in collaboration with the Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences and  the Clinical Trial Service Unit at the University of Oxford and will be supervised jointly by Dr Borislava Mihaylova (principal DPhil Supervisor), Professor Alison Halliday, Dr Richard Bulbulia and Professor Alastair Gray.
