The series of biennial STEREODYNAMICS meetings started in 1986, when the first Conference was held in Jerusalem (Israel). Since that time the conference took place in Bad Honnef (Germany), Santa Cruz (USA), Assisi (Italy), Gif sur Yvette (France), Bielefeld (Germany), El Escorial (Spain), Schoorl (The Netherlands), Osaka (Japan), Arcachon (France), Jerusalem (Israel), Dalian (China), Santa Cruz (USA), Paris (France), and now it comes to St.Petersburg. _International Scientific Committee:_ Roger Anderson, USA Vincenzo Aquilanti, Italy Astrid BergeatFrance Mark Brouard, UK David Chandler,USA Angel González-Urea,Spain Toshio Kasai,Japan Raphael Levine,Israel Hansjürgen Loesch,Germany Andrew Orr-Ewing, UK David Parker,The Netherlands Peter Rakitzis,Greece Benoit Soep,France Steven Stolte,The Netherlands Oleg Vasyutinskii,Russia Xueming Yang,China Stereodynamics of chemical and biological processes seeks to unravel the most fundamental aspects of reactions studied at the molecular level. This fundamental field of research has become so broad over last years that it concerns nowadays a wide range of topics related to physics, chemistry and biology. Th This meeting, the fifteenth in the series, is devoted to experimental and theoretical aspects of anisotropy and vector correlation effects in:· * Ultrafast photochemistry and real time dynamics of small molecules, clusters and biologically relevant molecules * ·Quantum chemistry * ·Surface scattering * ·Reaction dynamics in the gas phase and in condensed media, including ultracold atomic and molecular dynamics. * ·Photodissociation * ·Chirality * ·Chemical reaction control * ·Spin effects The Conference format will include invited keynote lectures, plenary lectures, hot topics, and poster sessions. The participation of young researchers and students is particularly welcome. For a limited number of students a reduced conference fee and cheap accommodation will be available. _Preliminary list of speakers_: Luis Bañares, Madrid University, Spain David Chandler, Sandia National Laboratories, Livermore, USA Vladimir Chernyak,**Wayne State University, Detroit, USA Karl-Heinz Gericke, TU Braunschweig, Germany Ralf Kaiser, University of Honolulu, USA King-Chuen Lin, National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan Kopin Liu, IAMS, Taipei, Taiwan KennethMcKendrick, Edinburgh, UK David Nesbitt, JILA University of Colorado Boulder, USA Daniel Neumark, UCB, Berkeley, USA Martin Quack, ETH Zurich, Switzerland Octavio Roncero, CSIC, Madrid, Spain Arthur Suits, Wayne State University, Detroit, USA Dmitry Varshalovich, Ioffe Institute, St.Petersburg, Russia Alec Wodtke, MPI Goettingen, Germany The conference will be held in a very beautiful place, in the old city center on the embankment of the Neva river, with the Hermitage (the former Winter residence of Russian tzars and a famous museum now)across the river. In order to have a really great scientific event the organizers will try to invite many bright people and include new stereodynamic topics. The day of arrival is August 17. The scientific program will begin in the evening August 17 and finish in the afternoon August 22, 2014.** St.Petersburg is one of the most important scientific and cultural centers in Russia and one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.
