Hi,
Can I compel you to listen to the recently published IRMS podcast which features Hugh Hagan of the National Records of Scotland speaking passionately about the Public Records Scotland Act and the compelling human story that prompted it. A public sector colleague who has already listened to it is urging his senior managers to listen to it too – it really promotes the spirit of the Act rather than the mechanics and represents a story that should enhance any business case for investment in improving information and records management – a real candidate for “spend (wisely) to save”.
To access the podcast, one of a series which James Lappin and I are producing, hosted by the IRMS, go to https://irmspodcast.wordpress.com/ .
Previous podcasts that can also be found there include an interview with Christian Walker @chris_p_walker on auto-classification and e-mail and an interview with Paul Gibbons @FoIManUK on the use of private email accounts in UK government.
Cheers
Heather
