Dear Psi-Commers,

I am contacting you on behalf of Universe Awareness (UNAWE) a non-profit programme devoted to inspiring every child with our wonderful cosmos. UNAWE is endorsed by UNESCO and the International Astronomical Union (IAU). I believe the weekly articles would make a great feature on your organisation's website, blog, in your magazine or for your school students.

Space Scoops are short articles (~250 words) about new astronomical discoveries, written in a child-friendly language. Each story comes with a stunning astronomical image. The articles are produced in partnership many top space organisations including the European Southern Observatory (ESO), European Space Agency (ESA) and the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan (NAOJ) among others, who provide content in the form press releases which are checked for scientific accuracy.

The idea behind Space Scoop is to share with children the excitement that the latest scientific discoveries bring, and to demonstrate that there is still much to learn about the Universe – research that they could contribute to in the future. The articles are available in 22 languages thanks to our network of volunteer translators. You can also find Space Scoop in a range of different formats, including videospodcasts and an Android app.

It is our goal to distribute Space Scoop to an audience as large as possible to inspire young children to follow STEM subjects, so we are inviting you to post them on your website for free. Please feel free to share within your networks:http://www.unawe.org/kids/

If you’re interested, please let get in touch with myself or the UNAWE Science Editor at: [log in to unmask]

Kind regards,

Ryan
