There may be a gap in my contribution as I will be having a holiday but I fully intend to re-enrol and keep up with JISC once I have found a place to settle. From this distance, it may be that I will end up in the mental health at work field which will be exciting, but who knows.
It is, after all, an adventure

Some members have much to thank Sue Gorton for. Sue has been a particularly active contributor to JISC for several years. Sue will be leaving Great Ormond Street Hospital OH Service where she is the manager. She will be returning to Australia for pastures new. I do hope Sue will be re-subscribing in due course.
I would like to add my personal thanks, Sue for all you have done for JISC members as you share your wisdom and experience so freely. For those who don’t already know, on Monday she collected the OH Nurse of the Year. The competition for that award was tough - I am so glad I wasn’t on the judging panel. I would have found it hard to select from the shortlisted practitioners.
In addition to Sue’s success Surrey Police gained the Health Promotion award and the Best of the Best. I was so pleased for them particularly as the team included two of our graduates and they are currently our practice teachers. At this point I will take the opportunity to blow my own trumpet – myself and an LSBU graduate gained the Innovation in OH Award. It makes me so proud to see OHNs succeed as our specialty is not always recognised for what we have to offer by other members within the family of nursing.
I hope we will reading more from Sue once she is established in Australia.
