You may have seen Professor Hans Rosling recently on television presenting 'Don't Panic - The Truth About Population'. If so, you may like to take a look at these follow-up resources that have been made available by the Open University.

New activities to explore

Primary pupils - have you seen the collections of activities on NRICH which will help you work like a mathematician? Have a go at some of the tasks and get better at working systematically or asking 'what if?' questions, for example. You may also like to know that this year, for the fourth year running, NRICH is working with Explore Learning to create the Young Mathematicians' Award (YMA) 2013. Although it is too late to enter this year's competition, you could take a look at last year's activities and try to persuade your teacher to enter next year!
