Ultrafast electronic processes in solvated transition metals
A PhD position is available in the Molecular Quantum Dynamics Group at the
Institute of Physics, University of Rostock, Germany
The theoretical project aims to model and simulate the dynamics of ultrafast electronic
processes in solvated transition metals using state-of-the-art ab initio methods. The
context is provided by various X-ray spectroscopic techniques and the investigations
will be performed parallel to and in close cooperation with experiment.
The successful candidate will have a Master or Diploma in Physics or Chemistry with a
focus on theory and basic knowledge of a programming language. While knowledge of
German language is not required, the candidate should have good communication skills in
English.
The salary is according to German standards (TVL E13, 50% with possibility of extension).
The starting date is flexible.
