Apologies for cross posting

Hello everyone

In the final week of the multi-themed month Mark Chavez describes the very recent SIGGRAPH Asia 2013 Art Gallery and Art Papers - a great round-up of what sounds like some great work and discussions.

Please feel free to comment.

The CFP for December is still listed below - the deadline passed 4 days ago but we might have space to squeeze a couple of posts in - especially as they are potentially shorter than the regular posts.

As we get closer to the end of the year I've been thinking about themes for next year - if anyone has any ideas of new themes/subjects they would like to see covered (& might want to post on) please let me know soon, before I start to plan more of my own!

Please contact me if you have any questions about the themes or blog in general.

best wishes

CFP Watching Animation (December theme)

(DEADLINE Thursday 21st November)

This month’s theme invites posts which examine and review animated films with a strong emphasis on new and international work. In the last month of the year we would like to have some fun and show some films, so clips are strongly encouraged. Theoretical approaches are still invited but light hearted musings are very welcome (due to the expectation of the use of visual media, the posts can be shorter than the usual 300-500 words).

Topics may include but are not limited to:

- Festival circuit films; what you might have seen that others have missed

- New student work

- Theatrical releases or TV animation which you would like to comment on.

Posts of between 300 and 500 words, which discuss any aspect of the above topic are welcome. Contributors are encouraged to include clips and images to support their posts. Please also include a short bio to accompany the post. All permissions are the responsibility of the contributor. Please contact the editor [log in to unmask] with submissions or questions.
