Thanks for all your comments, everyone. We’re going to stop sending anything out to the learner and rely on the lecturer or assessor to use the Walled Garden to feed back to learners, and also to use Secure Assess
for the online test results breakdown.

Hi Elaine, all the FS tutors have access to the Walled Garden to check for the results there. They don’t find the breakdown on the results slip very useful anyway as its very vague

Hi Elaine, we don’t post them out. All tutors have access to Secure Assess which they check and inform their students of the results. This way they can get the percentage and also see where the students weakest
areas are by printing off the Candidate Breakdown,
We implemented this last year, it works well and the tutors all like it,

Hi all
Please can you let me know how you tell learners of their FS results. We are being criticised for sending out the (City & Guilds) fail results slips to learners but we argue that there is performance feedback on these that they need to
be aware of in order to have another attempt. I don’t think City & Guilds issue pass slips (just full certificates when all elements are completed and achieved) so I guess we are not being consistent in how we treat learners who have passed compared with learners
who have failed test elements.
Would appreciate knowing what everyone else does….thanks
