I am not sure how widely this consultation has been distributed so I am forwarding it.  Apologies if everyone else has already seen it.


Anyone who has ever reported a problem with an analyser or a kit may have an opinion on the revised route which would make MHRA reporting similar to any other incident reported to the National Reporting & Learning System.

If nothing else it may be worth suggesting that membership of the device safety committee at each trust should include a representative of pathology (Clinical governance lead, risk management lead or point of care testing team)?
