Would those of you who have POCT in A&E, for more than glucose and blood gases, share what equipment is in use; particularly interested in U&E at the moment.
Thanks,

Subject: Report - Replies to screening for gestational diabetes question.
Thank you to those who replied to my question about how you screen pregnant women for diabetes.
One reply - screen all with 75g glucose and blood at 0,1 and 2h
One reply - screen all (method not specified)
One reply - screen selectively according to NICE guidelines using a GTT with Lucosade
Our present system - screen all 1h after 50g Lucosade and do traditional GTT if the screen is high.
No consensus is apparent
regards
Andrew
