There’s a discussion about this on the [log in to unmask] list right now.

Concerns centre on questions of whether/how the app stores username/password,

and the very generous terms and conditions (generous to AppGrad, not the user)

allowing for passing on of personal data etc.

No-one here is actively pushing to alert students against it, but then knowledge of

its existence is only just spreading.

It looks like this company AppGrad Ltd provide one app (on IOS & Android) but it’s useable in the context of a variety of HEIs:

Looking at Aberystwyth on the IOS version I can’t see that they’re taking anything from us that’s not already in the public domain. Also, at first glance it doesn’t look like they’re giving the impression they’re endorsed by Aber Uni, but I’ll ponder that one further.
