PETER NEWELL, Professor of International Relations at the University of Sussex, will be giving this year’s annual CSD Governance and Sustainability Lecture on the theme ‘

GOVERNING THE SUSTAINABILITY CHALLENGE

 Annual CSD Governance and Sustainability Lecture

Professor Newell is a prolific writer on aspects of environment and development, especially climate change. Amongst his many achievements he was awarded a prestigious ESRC Climate Change Leadership Fellowship to work on the governance of clean development. The lecture is open to all and forms part of the Regional Studies Association workshop ‘Transformation Processes and their Meaning for the Sustainability Transition: Linking Local Practices and Global Agendas’ hosted by CSD.
