We know that most of you work professionally in Science Communication and therefore aren’t eligible contestants for FameLab – but please share the below with any networks or people you know who do fit the FameLab bill. We’re hoping to
spread the word as far and wide as possible and your help is much appreciated. Any questions should be directed to Dr Djuke Veldhuis on

Do you have a passion for science, technology, engineering or maths and want to share it with the world?
FameLab provides researchers in academia and industry with a supportive platform to communicate science and engineering to a wider audience. Previous contestants have gone on to travel the globe and feature on radio and TV.
If you’re currently working in science, technology, engineering or maths, and think you can explain a science or engineering concept in an engaging way in just three minutes, FameLab wants to hear from you!
You could win £1750 in prize money and a weekend Masterclass with experts in media & communication skills, not to mention a chance to appear in the FameLab International Final at the Cheltenham Science Festival in June 2014.
Heats are taking place across the country November 2013 - January 2014 in Aberdeen, Birmingham, Cambridge, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Guildford, London, Manchester, Newcastle and Oxford.
