An Introduction to the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey 2014

Wednesday 30 October 2013

12:30 – 13:30

The HEA Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) offers the most comprehensive view of the taught postgraduate experience in the UK. Over one hundred institutions have taken part in PTES over the last two years, benchmarking their results and using feedback to enhance their taught postgraduate provision.

The survey has been redesigned for 2014 to reflect the needs of institutions across the sector.

If you are thinking about running PTES in your institution in 2014, or are a new PTES officer responsible for running the survey, then this free webinar is an opportunity to answer any questions you have. The webinar will cover:

•             The benefits of surveying taught postgraduates;

•             What sort of feedback the newly redesigned PTES will gather;

•             How to run the survey in practice;

•             The experience of PTES officers;

•             Maximising the benefits from PTES.

The webinar will be facilitated by Jason Leman, who co-ordinates PTES and is the main point of contact for PTES officers in administrating the survey. Joining the conversation will be Paul Bennett, Head of Surveys at the HEA; Bhupinder Sanghera, PTES Officer at the Institute of Education; Nathaniel Pickering, PTES Officer at Sheffield Hallam University; and, Sarah Kearns, PTES Officer at Plymouth University.
