Dear colleagues

Can I draw your attention to the invitation below from Alison Preston at Ofcom for media policy researchers interested in Media Literacy and in research on children & young people to do short presentations at this event.

It's a very useful forum for sharing research findings and for feeding into policy discussions around new technology, education, the role of regulators etc. Also Ofcom's data is extremely rigorous, reliable and useful for researchers to build on for their own work - it's always good to hear what they're up to.

best wishes

Subject: Ofcom Children and Parents: Media Use and Attitudes report launch event

Dear all

To mark the publication of the annual Children and Parents: Media Use and Attitudes report<http://stakeholders.ofcom.org.uk/binaries/research/media-literacy/october-2013/research07Oct2013.pdf>, a cross-sector research event is scheduled for the 20th November between 3pm and 5pm with a drinks reception afterwards.

We are delighted that the event will be introduced by Colette Bowe, Ofcom Chairman.

In addition to hearing a number of themed summaries from the report and discussing the findings more generally, there will be an opportunity to hear from industry, academia and public sector stakeholders about relevant research in this area.

Please mark this date in your diary now and watch out for your invitation and the full agenda in the coming weeks.

If you would like to be considered for one of the presentation slots please email [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> with details. Please note, there are a limited number of presentation slots so it may not be possible to include all proposals.

Many thanks,

The Ofcom Media Literacy team.
