-- Wednesday 30th October -- Maths Room 103 -- 4.30pm
The next Relativity and Cosmology seminar takes place this Wednesday
30th October, and will be given by
Claude Warnick (Warwick)
speaking on:
Dynamics in anti-de Sitter spacetimes
Despite the tremendous amount of work that has been done on asymptotically anti-de Sitter spacetimes, motivated by the AdS/CFT conjecture, there are still many interesting unanswered questions about classical gravitation in such backgrounds. I will review numerical
and heuristic arguments for and against the classical stability of anti-de Sitter and discuss recent analytical work for the case of asymptotically AdS spacetimes containing a black hole.
