Dear all,

Claude Warnick (Warwick)  -- Wednesday 30th October -- Maths Room 103 -- 4.30pm

The next Relativity and Cosmology seminar takes place this Wednesday 30th October, and will be given by
Claude Warnick (Warwick) speaking on:

Dynamics in anti-de Sitter spacetimes

Despite the tremendous amount of work that has been done on asymptotically anti-de Sitter spacetimes, motivated by the AdS/CFT conjecture, there are still many interesting unanswered questions about classical gravitation in such backgrounds. I will review numerical and heuristic arguments for and against the classical stability of anti-de Sitter and discuss recent analytical work for the case of asymptotically AdS spacetimes containing a black hole.

The seminar will be in the usual place, Maths Room 103 on the Mile End Campus, at the usual time of 4.30pm. For more information please see our wiki at http://cosrel.maths.qmul.ac.uk .

Hope to see you there.

David
