Asset Technician Network Operator – Advertisement





We are currently seeking an Asset Technician Network Operator, a dual role, who
will report to the Asset Manager & Network Control Coordinator. They will
be expected to deliver highly accurate updates to the Network Asset
Management System whilst working shifts in the Network Control Centre for
Ringway Jacobs on behalf of TfL. The role requires good knowledge and
understanding of IM Systems in particular Asset Management Systems and
excellent communication skills in all mediums. The ideal candidate will
have experience of working with an asset management system and performing
GIS asset inventory updates to a high degree of accuracy and a solid
customer service background.



This is a permanent role based in Tower Hamlets, East London for 40 hours
per week, 14:45 to 23:00 Monday to Friday.

The following are the key responsibilities of the Asset Technician Network
Operator:



·         Assist in the maintenance of the highway asset database to a high
degree of accuracy.

·         Update and maintain GIS datasets ensuring spatial and attribute
consistency and accuracy.

·         Perform data audits of both internally and externally produced
GIS/designs/databases.

·         Ensure assets are updated on NAMS after maintenance works.

·         Work with supply chain and RJ staff to ensure correct update of
Asset management system.

·         Monitor via CCTV planned works for safety and congestion
proactively managing traffic hotspots on the network.

·         Follow HUB Escalation Process for all emergencies on the Network
and coordinate emergency response.

·         Carry out vehicle tracking.

·         Receive/make phone calls from/to supply chain, including but not
exclusive of TfL, Highway Inspectors, RJ Staff, 3rd Parties

·         Use our client’s and our internal asset management systems to
complete admin, work ordering and auditing functions.

·         Responsible for monitoring security at Bow depot via CCTV.

·         Provide and validate backup data for Service Performance
Indicators.

·         Delivery of works within tight deadlines.

·         General administrative duties.

·         Carry out other duties consistent with the above that may be
directed or implied from time to time as required commensurate to the post.

·         Delivery of elements of the maintenance contract as defined by
the Asset Manager

·         To follow the BMS systems processes

·         Increase client confidence through quality of performance
indicator and internal audit compliance

·         Increase functionality to maximise efficiency of delivery of work
whilst maintaining compliance

·         Ability to evaluate and deconstruct ICT file information

·         Proficient use in GIS software – Particularly MapInfo
Professional,

·         Proficient in the use of other software packages e.g. MS Office
etc.,

·         Ability to coordinate and collaborate with other team members

·         Ability to show continual improvement in the role and to the
wider organisation

·         Ability to communicate effectively within all mediums.

·         Ability to prioritise workloads during peak periods

·         An understanding of the LoHAC, Borough & County Networks
