Fragments: Transcribing the Holocaust by Frances Rapport with Anka Bergman, Terry Farago and Edith Salter

Anka Bergman (1917–2013), whose daughter Eva was born in a concentration camp, Terry Farago (1927–) and Edith Salter (1920–2011) are among the refugees from the Holocaust and survivors of Auschwitz who remade their lives in Wales.

Over seven years Frances Rapport (Professor of Qualitative Health Research at Swansea University) transcribed their life stories and distilled key memories into an innovative and award-winning form of moving ethnopoetry.

The book includes 13 of these poems, full interview-based life stories, an essay on methodology, a foreword by Arthur W Frank and afterword by Greville Janner.
