Dear all, The Helmholtz Institute Freiberg for Resource Technology invites applications for a Postdoctoral researcher (m/f) with specialization in remote sensing beginning 01.01.2014 for a period of two years. The salary is according to German Public Service classification (TVöD-B). We seek to appoint a specialist in remote sensing to step up the newly created remote sensing group at the Helmholtz Institute Freiberg for Resource Technology (HIF). The main aim of the remote sensing group is mineral exploration but the quantification of vegetation physical properties and surface processes is also envisaged. Expertise in hyperspectral data processing is explicitly recommended for the position but not exclusively. The strength of the institute lies in the multidisciplinarity of our research activities. Therefore, the ability and the willingness of the candidates to work with colleagues from a large range of disciplines is indispensable. We invite young and flexible researchers keen to actively collaborate with other team members and familiar with the quantitative analysis of geospatial data to apply. The working languages of HIF are English and German. Candidates must be able to work effectively in English.
