I have had no
problems with SGE on a multi-core computer. i.e. not on a
cluster.
However I have not used FSL-VBM, but if I had to guess, it
should work just the same.

Dear FSLers,
It seems to that the scripts for FSL-VBM have been
improved to cover more default routines and nicely work
with fsl_sub. The only problem is that we don't have SGE
cluster machines, as far as I know, in our institute :(
So I wish to run the scripts with multi-thread
computing, but it looks like the job files that the
FSLVBM scripts generate need to be processed (creating a
job file for each subject and parameter set) for
multi-thread scripts such as ANTSpexec.sh.
But evaluating the loops in job files without running
commands inside seems a bit difficult to me... so I
guess I should modify the VBM scripts for multi-threads
computing. Anyone already has done it and won't mind
sharing with others? :)
Seriously, I think the multi-thread option would be
more generally used by many users, given that an usual
desktop nowadays has 6-8 cores... I wonder if the
official version doesn't have such functionality, or
it's just me who are not aware of it.
Best,
