The Night Evelyn Came Out of the Grave
The University of Kent, and the ICA present

Euro Horror
31st October, 11am, at The ICA
Euro Horror brings together film historians, programmers and academics to discuss this cinematic tradition, critical category and marketing label. This one-day event seeks to examine the critical intersections and interactions between various fields of cultural production – fan discourses, discourses of connoisseurship, academic discourses, spaces for dissemination – to map out a richer picture of the cultural history of Euro Horror, which more often interlocks with global histories of exploitation, sexploitation or psychotronic cinema. The event closes with a 35mm screening of La Notte che Evelyn usci dalla tomba / The Night Evelyn Came Out of the Grave (Emilio P. Miraglia, 1971)
Speakers include film historian Jonathan Rigby, film genre programmer Josh Saco, Professor Peter Hutchings, Associate Professor Ian Olney, and Dr Antonio Lázaro-Reboll.

But what is The Night Evelyn Came Out of the Grave?
We had a word with Samm Deighan of Satanic Pandemonium and coerced her into it sharing her thoughts on this Euro Horror oddity
Which you can read on our blog, here.
Don't forget that after the screening you will have plenty of time to head north to Islington for Death Waltz's Fabio Frizzi gig.
Off the back of last month's successful screening of King Kong vs Godzilla we'll be returning to Brighton's Duke of York's in January, but you'll have to wait to hear what gem we have in store for that.
In the meantime, keep up to date with happenings via the usual below.
