Thanks, Jeremy, both very helpful
solutions which I’ve passed on.
Cheers,
Aidan.

Hi Aidan
It cuts the supply, I presume it breaks
the live?
In this situation being confused about the
change in design doesn’t as much of an issue as it might have been, because you
don’t want them fiddling in any case ?!, but if it is an issue you could
disable the toggle switch and install a slightly remote locking device,
Cheers

Thanks, Jeremy, I’ll pass this on – slight
concern about fitting a new socket (change in appearance) but it is probably
what is wanted by my enquirer.
Excuse my ignorance, but does this prevent
plug-in, or switch off electrical supply?
Cheers,
Aidan.

Subject: Electric socket lock?
HI all,
I’ve had an enquiry from someone who is
supporting a person with dementia. They would like to be able to ‘lock’ the
socket nearest the microwave to prevent use with some sort of plug-in cover.
Any suggestions welcome.
Cheers,
Aidan.
