Dear Jackie

Last year I gave 12.000 photos on microfilms to be scanned in TIFF/JPEG.
Scanning societies can do it quickly (micrifilms/fiches): it took a week for me.
This society was in Paris, but you surely can find easily everywhere.
the cost was about .0.05-0.07 euro a photo to be scanned (+ the HD and delivery)

Objet : Scanning of Microfiched Documents

Hi all,

I have received the following query from our planning department:

Planning has, I would guess, 40000 (FORTY THOUSAND) planning application records held on microfiche.  Each application might contain more than 1 fiche with a mixture of A4 and A1/AO  images.

Is there a quick, easy, cheap way of having these scanned to store in our Civica document management system?

Does anyone have any suggestions on how easy this would be, or recommendations of a company who could do this?

Thanks in advance.
