Dear colleagues

We are seeking to recruit a Collections Access Officer to assist in the delivery of a major HLF-funded project in the University's Archives and Special Collections Service. 

Application closing date 04/11/2013 
Salary Grade 6: (£24,995 - £30,705) 
Fixed term appointment for 36 months.

Duties will include cataloguing a range of archive collections to international standards, preservation activities and promoting the collections and service. You will also be expected to work with other staff including archive assistants and volunteers, and liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

In addition to a postgraduate qualification in archives/records management, you will have experience in archival cataloguing and in basic collections care. You will have the personal skills to build a network of successful relationships, and will have excellent organisational and time management skills. Experience of CALM software would be highly desirable.
