Due to much of LGBT History being shaped around legal and political landmarks relating mainly to the experiences of gay men, other queer voices often go unheard. The eleventh LGBT History and Archives Conference explores the histories and experiences of Trans, Lesbian and Bisexual people. These stories are rarely told and, if presented, often not listened to. Come and make some history.

The day is full of presentations, linked workshops and discussion. Contributors, performers and speakers include:

Dzmitry Suslau - Eastern Europe in Drag. Focusing on LGBTI subcultures in post-Communist Europe, this presentation will explore the exhibition, 'Eastern Europe in Drag' and open up discussion.
Dr Clare Barlow - The Problem of Pronouns. Presenting the rich and complex life of the Chevalier D’Eon through the portrait now at The National Portrait Gallery.
Harriet Richardson and Catherine O'Donnell - Pride in Progress? Exploring the benefits and challenges of subverting the institutional voice of the museum and working with marginalised communities.
Veronica McKenzie - Into the Light. Presenting extracts from the film, 'Under Your Nose,' this presentation will focus on the involvement of black lesbians in late 70s and 80s single issue politics and their response to multiple discrimination.
Alice Human, Abi Higgs, Charlie Scott and Zoe Collins - Q Theatre Bristol. Performance by an emerging all female Queer friendly theatre group. 'Roll Up if You Think You're Queer Enough' is a new production in development by this group.
Zemirah Moffat - Mirror Mirror. This film depicts Club Wotever, (now Wotever World), a club which attracts performers not afraid to play with gender, sexuality and desire.
Alan Butler - Archiving the Ephemeral Pride. Discussing the importance of oral history interviews held at Plymouth LGBT archives.
Surat Knan - Rainbow Jews: Oral History. Hear extracts of interviews, including one woman's struggle between her identity and her place in the Ultra-Orthodox Jewish community.
The talks and workshops will end at 4.30pm. After that we will be entertained by the Pink Singers and have time to network over a glass of wine until 6pm.
