Oxford Archaeology North (Lancaster) is seeking to recruit a Faunal Remains Specialist/Project Officer

Salary range: £19,384 - £23,543 (Salary offered will be dependent on experience).

Oxford Archaeology North is seeking a permanent Faunal Remains Specialist/Project Officer (based in Lancaster). We are seeking a person with a strong track-record in the analysis and publication of faunal remains, including the ability to carry out research and contribute to a range of published and unpublished reports. Additional skills, either in fieldwork or post-excavation work, are strongly desirable. The person appointed will work primarily on faunal remains, but will undertake other tasks as required.

 

The successful applicant will have a degree in archaeology or a related subject, a sound knowledge of British archaeology, and have experience on a range of project types, good IT skills and proven writing ability.

 

The post-holder must have a positive and flexible approach and be able to work alone or as part of a multidisciplinary team.

 

Membership of the IfA (Institute for Archaeologists) is desirable.
