Hi colleagues,

Since this is a lively group, I'd like to ask you a question only peripherally connected to e-learning:

I noted recently that more and more journals ask for payments to publish accepted articles. Does your institution/department have a policy to deal with this issue as it seems to become more common?

Do you have a budget to tap into for publications?
Do you have a set maximum amount that you would be prepared to pay?
Or, do you generally avoid being charged for publishing?

Or is there no policy and you operate on an ad hoc basis, as we seem to do here in NL?
Cheers
Wolfgang
