Don't miss out on the early bird offer (deadline 30th September)

Business Archives Council Conference 2013
Show me the money! – Securing Funding for Business Archive Projects

This year’s conference will be held on Thursday 7th November 2013 at the Boots Archive, Thane Road, Nottingham, United Kingdom, NG90 4XY.

The aim of the conference is to look at funding for business archive collections in various institutions. As well as looking at case studies where archives have successfully received funding (from both within and outside their own organisations), and what has been achieved in these projects, the conference will also aim to provide practical advice and information on how to go about securing funding.

The day will begin with registration at 9.30am followed by the AGM at 10.00am. The conference will start at 10.40am and run until 5.00pm. See detailed programme below.

The nearest train station to the Boots Archive is Beeston - free minibuses will be available to pick up and drop off delegates at Beeston train station at regular intervals (the journey takes 5 minutes). There is also a park and ride service connecting Nottingham city centre with Boots. There is limited car parking on the Boots site.

The BAC is pleased to announce that it is offering 5 bursaries that will cover the cost of the conference fee. Please note, the deadline for applying for these has now been extended to the 30th September. Applicants whose employers would not normally be able to fund their attendance will be given priority, as will those not already working in the business archive sector. To apply, please email Adam Hillhouse at [log in to unmask] stating your name, organisation and why you would like the bursary.

The deadline to take advantage of the early bird rate of £70 is 30 September. After this, the charge will be £80 for BAC and ABH members and £100 for non-members. A second or third delegate from the same member organisation will cost £60 each. We are pleased to also be able to offer a discounted student rate of £20.

A booking form and further information can be found on the BAC website at: http://www.businessarchivescouncil.org.uk/activitiesobjectives/conference/2013conf
