Senior Online Property Development Analyst (Groceries Online)

 

Based in London

Package:  40 - 50k + up to 20% annual bonus and fantastic benefits

 

 

Our prestigious client is looking to appoint a Senior Online Property Development Analyst with solid (GIS / Spatial) Analysis and Model Development skills to join their expanding team.

 

The selected candidate will develop and maintain an analytically-robust demand and capacity model to forecast future growth opportunities in our client’s Online business.  In addition they will support the delivery of a strategic property plan to drive online sales growth, including new stores, extensions, closures and the optimisation of existing space.

 

Core Skills

 

Excellent analytical skills: with experience of designing and building complex Excel models and simulations: Excel, SAS, Visual Basic and ideally GIS (MapPoint, MapInfo)

Highly numerate

Ability to combine analytical perspectives with a pragmatic approach

Able to present analysis and recommendations to a range of audiences, in a logical, concise way.

Able to demonstrate a basic understanding of how Groceries Online works in stores at an operational, organisational and cultural level, and use this to develop relationships and create new solutions and best practice

Previous experience in retail property / site research preferred, but not essential

Good degree, ideally in Mathematics, Economics, Geography, Operational Research or Business related.

 

Responsibilities

 

Deliver new analytically-robust demand and capacity models to support the profitable growth of our clients Groceries Online.  Embed a continuous improvement approach to analytical modelling within Online Property ensuring that the analytical approaches and data underpinning the models used across the team remain accurate and up to date.

 

Create a 5-year rolling strategic property plan for Online, for sign off by the Online Property Development Manager.  Work in close consultation with Finance, Forecasting, Property and Online Operational Development teams to ensure that needs of stakeholders are incorporated into the plan. 

 

Responsible for communicating the Online Property Vision and 5 year strategic plan to key stakeholders across our client ensuring that Online, Property and Retail are aligned with a common understanding of online property priorities i.e. which schemes we should deliver, in which order, and with what backroom/van capacities

 

Produce timely and accurate assessments of the inclusion of Online in Property developments; forecasting future online demand in new stores and extensions. Prepare the online element of Investment Board papers making strategic and commercial recommendations on the inclusion of online, always ensuring information is presented in a clear and accurate manner.

 

Use analytical capabilities to identify key sales and customer trends for our client’s recent investments, ensuring that learnings are incorporated into the capacity model and the future assessment of online developments.  Support the delivery of Post Investment Reviews on our client’s online property developments.
