Babies in Museums
A Kids in Museums Workshop
V&A Museum of Childhood
Thursday 26th September 2013
10:15 – 15:30
The day will be jammed pack with speakers, discussions, workshops and activities designed to help you make real developments and changes towards a truly baby friendly venue. This September our speakers include Professor Annette Karmiloff-Smith from the Birkbeck Centre for Brain & Cognitive Development, author Ruth Redford and a host of museum professionals sharing with us their baby triumphs. You will learn how to read to babies and see what practical facilities you can introduce to make your venue more user friendly for visitors with children under 2.

Remember this is not just for the education team but is relevant to all staff from front of house to marketing. To find out more or to book head to our website www.kidsinmuseums.org.uk/workshops.
“Given me confidence to push working with babies in the museum galleries”
“It encouraged me to think about how we could be more creative with our limited resources.”
“It has confirmed what I thought, given me more confidence and offered practical advice. I suppose the workshop has brought ideas closer to reality.”
