Thanks.
Very interesting.
I have a meeting tomorrow to discuss procedures with the new team. If we have students needing readers, extra time it is the scores that are essential and there is no way round this.

We use the attached form in conjunction with the individual student report whether psychological or medical. We have had not had an actual inspection for Access Arrangements but I ran this form past the Inspector
who came in the Summer looking at actual exam arrangements and he seemed more than satisfied with the Personal Tutor Referral Form.
I also ask for the Access Assessment Arrangements Questions to be completed.

Janine, as far as I’m aware you
have to have a Form 8 to make an application and that is what you will be inspected on for an access arrangements inspection, which can happen at any time. You can use a copy of a previous centre’s Form 8 as initial evidence to support your own testing
though.

Subject: Access Arrangements
Dear All
Over the summer our ALS team was revamped and new members of staff appointed with the title Support 4 Success. In the past we would always receive Form 8’s with all the necessary information for us to make an application for Access Arrangements
for reader, extra time etc.
Can I ask if any Colleges out there manage to make applications for readers, extra time, scribes without a recent Form 8 and if so what do you use?
Regards,
