Yes I would say so – it helps if the results are then visible to all teaching staff as they don’t then need to ask how people did.

Hi Lorna

Thanks for your response – I don’t think that we are going to have it import the results into our MIS system – would you say that it is still worth a go despite this?

Thanks

Hi Kelly

We started uploading the unit results last year (but not the awards – that’s for this year) and it’s helped particularly in relation to Functional Skills as it’s far easier to track who has passed which component.  It’s main use has been on reporting and the process within our student records system (Prosolution) only takes a few minutes).

Our plan this year is to get the Award import working so that results go directly to the ILR – this will save us a massive amount of time in keying results from certiifcates.

I’d say it’s worth a try!

Regards

Lorna

Subject: Does Anyone Use Guilds Electronic Uploads for results?

Hi All

Does anyone use electronic uploads for Guilds results? We are thinking about starting to use this process as we already use electronic upload to Guilds for registrations, I’m trying to get my head around how it is any different to just inputting the data into the Walled Garden? Will it save me that much time? ….surely I would still need to input the data into the upload spreadsheet so why not just straight into the Walled Garden? I can understand that it may be easier for centres where a large portion of the candidates are Guilds candidates but the amount that we use Guilds has shrunk over the years and now we mainly use them for Hairdressing and Construction.

Can anyone offer any advice or experience as to this process and its effectiveness.

Thanks All

We used OCN-LR at my old college a few years ago and found them really helpful and efficient.

We use OCNLR and have no complaints. I agree with others that their processes improve every year.

Hi All

We have had an absolute nightmare with Ascentis for our Access to HE this year.

Can I please ask what other examining boards do you use for Access to HE?

Thanks

Shirley
