After a complaint/ suggestion by the Prog Man of Computing we secured a budget for 50 privacy filters at what I thought was a reasonable price, and this included two filters for my PC, as my monitors face the
office door. PM now happy we can run exams using modern technology, invigilators happy that they won’t get hernias running IT exams and EO happy he has another thing under control – but unhappy one of the filters has
already disappeared!!!

We use screens between the computer workstations in our online room and the students sit back to back – no privacy screens though we haven’t got the budget for that – wish we did though!!

Not seen ay monitors with privacy/ security filters built in – they would probably cost a bomb!
We decided to use Scotch ‘Magic’ tape as it doesn’t leave a stick residue when removed. We don’t have a dedicated on-line testing room, so have to put privacy filters up in whichever room we are allocated. One
two-inch strip at the top of the screen to secure the filter usually does it for us! Our filters also came with some double-sided tape to stick the filter directly to the display area, which I have used on my work monitors. Not completely permanent, it
comes off easily enough if a small tab is used at each corner rather than a whole strip.
We’re always interested if anybody comes up with a more elegant solution....

Subject: PC Privacy Screens
Good Morning
Please could you tell me which types of PC Privacy screens you use at your Centres?
At the moment we have the ones that attach to the PC screens with little plastic tabs, these in time have broken off and we have resorted to using blutack to keep them in place!
Does anyone know if you can buy screens with the privacy element built in?
Thank you for you help.
